Completely in Love

Well we just got home from the hospital. It is so nice to be home.

On Saturday morning we got up and went in to the kitchen to eat breakfast, and my water broke. I was in disbelief for a little while. We headed into labor and delivery about noon. They put us in the room and we sat and Sat and SAT forever. I didn't feel anything. We weren't progressing and I was a little frustrated and was hoping to not need pitocin. Well we started the pitocin finally about 4pm and I still only progressed a little bit. I was only having a few little contractions, so the Dr. broke my water the rest of the way at 9. He said I still had a long way to go and that I was in for a long night. I was still only at 4cm dilated. I came in that day at a 3 so I was getting pretty discouraged. Well all the sudden I really started feeling the contractions and they went from nothing to me freaking out in about five minutes. We called for an epidural and he came in and started and put one in and he said he didn't like the placement so he put in another one. I was in so much pain that I didn't even care what he was doing. It didn't hurt at all. I layed back down when he was through and in just a couple minutes I was the happiest girl in the world. It was heaven!! We were just all hanging out and laughing and at about 10 pm my nurse checked me and I was at 9 cm. Everyone was so surprised.
They got the room ready and called the dr back and just a second later i was complete and ready to go. My nurse told me to push aa couple times to see how close he was and he was right there so she told me to stop pushing. Well the Dr. was taking his time and Ryker just kept coming out on his own with each contraction. They put a mirror up for me and it was so amazing. The dr. came in and looked and told me to stop pushing as he threw his gown on. I told him I wasn't pushing. Just as he reached down Ryker just came right out. He was born at 10:37 pm and weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce. It was the most wonderful and amazing day of my life.

Ok if I ever have time again after this baby comes I will be making this quilt. Isn't it so cute?! I have fallen in love with all there patterns. Go here to check it out.

So I decided to document this time so that I can look back. I am not feeling to photogenic lately, but knew I would regret not having a few pregnancy pictures. This a lazy Sunday afternoon if you couldn't tell. So my family will probably want to strangle me for posting these. HA HA HA. To bad. And yes my mom and I have on twin shorts.

I finished up some of the last few things in the nursery so sorry for the repeat post but these are new pictures.

35 weeks

Well we are nearing the end. I never thought I would be here during that horrible first trimester. I quit my job today am going to go tackle those messy closets. Hurry up and get here July!!

Ready and waiting

I have been having such a fun time decorating our nursery. It has been such a great project to keep me busy. I found some great furniture on craigslist and refinished it. My very talented mom has sewn most of the bedding and adorable receiving blankets. It is just what I wanted and she did a beautiful job. Jesse made me the bulletin board a door hanger. We are renting the townhome we live in and aren't suppose to paint, but I am going to ask forgiveness instead of permission since I painted the one wall behind the crib.(Well actually my sisters painted it)
I still have a few finishing touches like a crib skirt, lamp, changing table pad and some pictures to hang on the wall.

I am so excited to bring my sweet little baby home to his nursery.

CFI-(Certified Flight Instructor)

I am so proud of Jesse. He has worked so ahard the last month or so to get ready for it. He just passed all the tests and is now a CFI. Way to go babe.

Baby shower time

It's baby shower time here. We had it at my moms house. My mom and sisters were so great to throw it for me. It was decorated so cute with snails and balloons and my nursery quilt. Morgan made all the invitations and they all cooked and cooked for days the yummy food. It was such a fun day. We just had an open house and people came and went as they could. We just ate and talked and played with cute baby boy stuff and then ate some more. I am just so excited now to meet my little baby and hold and snuggle him.

Thanks Mom, Morgan and Marny for the beautiful shower. I loved it!!

Ok, So I finally decided it is time for me to start a blog. I don't want to be the last one on earth without one.
So here is my very first post.

I am currently 7 months pregnant with our first little baby. It is a boy and we are so excited for July to get here. He is due on July 15th, but I am aiming for a 4th of July baby. Jesse's birthday is the 28th of July and I just pray I don't go that far over!!




Anyway I have busy decorating the nursery which i absolutely love and will post pictures of when it is all done. Jesse just finished up a very bust semester of school and is now doing a quick summer block before junior arrives.
