4TH of July

We started off the day in Cedar City at the parade
It was fun. Ryker didn't like the noisy fire trucks




Then We had a great picnic, in a beautiful spot
up Cedar canyon. It was nice and cool, and the food
was great.




Ryker played in the dirt with his tractor, he was happy



Then we climbed on a big tire. He thought he was
pretty cool stuff.


Such a fun busy day we didnt make it to fireworks

I am so thankful to live in such a wonderful, beautiful country.
I feel very blessed to have the freedoms we have.

how fast the days go by

I am sitting here tonight looking through all the millions of pictures
of Ryker from this past year. What a wonderful year it has been. So
many wonderful memories. It is such a bitter sweet time for me
right now. I am sad my teensy little six pound bundle is such a
big boy now, but excited to watch him grow and learn new things.
I completely love being a mom. He has changed my life in so many
ways, all totally for the better. He is so sweet and fun.
I can hardly stand being away from him. He is the best part of my
whole life. I am excited every morning for him to wake up so we can
start a fun new day. I am so thankful for him.

So like I said before, I am so excited to see what this next next year
will be like with my little Ryker bug. I love you with all my {heart}!!

Or not. Ryker didn't like it one bit. He loved watching from afar.
It was too scary up close though.

Ryker will be walking. He hasn't really paid any attention
to this toy before today. Now he loves it. He is getting
pretty good. It's only a matter of time.

This is the front room when we moved in.



It was our project this weekend. Lots of texturing, painting,
and trim works and a few days got us here...


p.s. I only cleaned one set of of blinds so far...

11 months old

As the months go by, I can't believe how fast my little Ryker
is growing. I also can't believe how hard it is to get one decent
picture of him. Here is the best we could do this month.
He doesn't sit still for more than a second, and he has ben carrying
around either this spoon or this screwdriver ALL the time.
He also felt the need to show poor alligator whose boss. He would
throw him around every time I put him close.

kitchen cabinets

Jesse has been working very hard the last few weeks to get
cabinets up in our kitchen. We didn't realize how much we
would miss them until we didn't have any. He is so talented.
He made the wall cabinets.
We bought the base ones unfinished so we can do it ourselves.
We are saving so much money this way.
Plus I get to do them how I want them!! Here they are so far.
No doors yet on the top. Not bad huh? Next we are focusing
on countertops and a stove.
